The nice lady told us that a neighbor had to help her get groceries into her house because of a faulty design of steps and the door to her back porch. The step risers were too tall and of varied height. The door opened over the stairs making it difficult to open. In one morning ONC volunteers placed a 5 foot X 5 foot deck at the door sill, and erected a new set of steps with a shallower rise. When the volunteers posed for a picture she had a smile from ear to ear.
