Thinking out of the box.

Several weeks ago, we were asked to visit a family in Blossvale. A teenage son had several operations on his back and many times needs to be transported in a wheelchair ramp. Visiting the home, Rick discovered that an outdoor ramp would not be possible. An attempt to design a ramp inside the two car garage failed to provide enough room for a single car to park.

Once again, Rick and his team put on their thinking caps. A source was located in Florida that would construct a chair lift and deliver it to Syracuse for only a few dollars more than a conventional wooden ramp. A deck outside the door was replaced by mounting two six foot ramp sections together. Upon delivery the new lift was secured in place, and a swing gate was also added above the stairs. Problem solved.

The safety taping will be removed soon when a door company will raise the brackets, thereby providing clearance walking on the deck.
