Operation Northern Comfort volunteers installed a wheel chair platform lift in Fulton for an individual who had a recent leg amputation. He was able to be released from rehab until wheel chair access into his home was installed.The initial request for a wheel chair ramp was received in June and during an evaluation visit it was determined that a platform lift in the garage would be the best option based on the existing entry points into his home. This would also be preferable during the winter as this area gets significant snowfall. In July, three of our volunteers installed a leveling platform to the door and a platform lift so he may return home soon.
