Operation Northern Comfort is blessed to have a close relationship with PGR Foundation (Poised, Gifted and Ready). On Dec. 21, 2021, PGR conducted a bookshelf and more giveaway titled “Promoting Literacy During the Holidays. ONC is honored to build and contribute 20 bookshelfs and 5 desks for the event. Participants also received books donated by Books-Van-Go and packaged treats from Zeta Phi Beta Sorority.

The bookshelves are a recent addition to the Desks For Kids program ONC has been conducting since October 2020. Over 1200 desks have been placed throughout Central New York.
