Home purchase modifications

Mike was injured in a construction accident in 2013. It has left him confined to a wheel chair. He has been working full time. Mike and Kellie were in the process of buying their first home. The single story home was in need of modifications to make it accessible but they exhausted their financial assets to purchase their home.
Operation Northern Comfort and the United Methodist Conference stepped in to assist this deserving couple. ONC repurposed an aluminum ramp no longer needed by a previous client by installing it in the garage. A doorway leading from the house to the garage was widened and a new fire rated door was installed.
Meanwhile, the Methodist team is making extensive modifications to the bathroom. They enlarged the door to the bathroom and ONC hung a modern style barn door over the opening.
